General Information
Sunday School is an extremely important ministry for all ages at Park Place, as it provides weekly opportunities for discipleship, fellowship, and accountability. Our 1-4 graders use a curriculum called The Gospel Project, in which we are walking through the Bible’s big story of redemption over the course of three years. You can view the three year study plan here.
Our 5-6 graders use a curriculum called Explore the Bible, in which they take a more in-depth look at specific books of the Bible. The current Explore the Bible study plan can be seen here. Additionally, our 5-6 graders have the opportunity each year to participate in the PB&J Challenge.
Sunday School for preschoolers-1st graders begins at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday and ends at 10:15 in time to make it to the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Our kids meet in age divided classes except for a large group time, which is in the middle of Sunday School for preschoolers and at the beginning (9:00-9:15) for our 1-6 graders. These large groups include a time of singing and teaching, which relates to Sunday School for preschoolers and the upcoming worship service for 1-6 graders.
Parents of preschoolers use our KidCheck check-in system, where upon check-in they receive a security tag to go on their preschooler as well as a pick-up tag. 1-6 graders do not have to be checked in, but parents of 1-2 graders will need to pick their child up after Sunday School unless they sign a special release form when they drop off that lets us know it is ok for that child to be released after Sunday School.
